Reference Service
Library houses all important reference sources like Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, handbooks and Manuals, Statistics, Yearbooks. The collection ranges from general to subject specific sources. |
Circulation Service
Circulation service is very important because it is the first operation to the users of the library. The issue/return of the resources and user entries are functioning in circulation desk. |
Newspaper Clipping Service
The news related to urban development collecting from 9 daily news papers and clipping the display board. |
OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue)
OPAC is the electronic form of library catalogue which is available online and accessed through Internet and provides its users with enhanced searching options author's name, book title, subject, department etc. |
Electronic Gate Register
Reader's library membership identity cards are scanned at the entrance and exit points. It enables to get the exact number of readers using the library at a particular time. |
Photocopying Service
Photocopying of materials are available to both internal and external users as copyright policy on payment basis. Users are permissible to take only one chapter of a book or an article from a journal for educational or research purpose. Users are solely responsible for upholding copyright laws and Library is not responsible for any Copyright violation by users. |
Current Awareness Service
Newly added books and periodicals are display in the racks and also display the announcements received from various institutions regarding the conferences, workshops, seminars etc. |
Cyber Library Service
The TNIUS library has set up Cyber Library with over 7 Pentium computers working in a networked environment through connectivity provided by BSNL and Airtel using 4 and 8 Mbps High Bandwidth Leased Line respectively. |
Digital Library Service
A State-of-art Digital Library provides seamless access to various CD-ROM Databases, Electronic Theses & Dissertations and full text Databases and books, Institutional Repository, etc. |
